On list sub-sections, sometimes when you complete a sub-section it says "Done 9/27/11" (or whatever the date is), and sometimes it doesn't, even if you've studied all the words in it and haven't gotten any wrong. What exactly is triggering the "done" tag here, and how do I make sure it shows up when I'm done with a sub-section?

I ask because I made a list that gives me a certain number of characters to study every day, and it's satisfying to see that I actually got the day's studying done for that date, but it's going to look like I slacked off today even though I didn't. And that bugs me so much that I'm about to nuke all my progress and start over, since I'm only a couple days in.

Just noticed something upon starting over: I've nuked my progress and re-done the first section of the list, containing 25 characters. The progress tab is saying I've learned 25 writings, 25 readings and *33* tones! Even if you count the one character that has two possible tone pronunciations, there are only 26 tones on the list. How is that possible?

The 'done' marker happens when you finish studying a section while either studying all lists, or that list in particular. Have you been studying sections individually? For individual section study, since it's independent of where you are on the list, it does not mark when you've finished a section, though perhaps we should make sure it does... Does that explain it though or is it something else that's going on?

Thanks for pointing out the progress disparity! I was able to quickly reproduce the problem and fixed it and just uploaded it. This is probably the source of much of the error in peoples' progress tracking. Unfortunately it's not retroactive, but if you decide to nuke your progress again, it should be spot on this time around, or at least a whole lot closer. If you notice the numbers creeping apart again later, let me know and I'll investigate further.

That's an ambitious goal by the way! Good luck in achieving learning all those characters on such a tight schedule. How much practice per day are you doing to get it done?
