Definition Practice

I find the character decomposition very helpful component when studying the writing prompts. They show up after you have finished writing or when you get the writing wrong.

Have you considered adding any similar things to the definition prompts? It would maybe give users another way to remember the words and improve retention. Perhaps adding the "Characters in" information or something else useful?

Thanks for the hard work in continually improving the site.

Because the definition practice doesn't currently load any of the component characters, it will take some doing to add it. It's on the list, but it would have to go along with some major changes there to how words are loaded.

For now, have you considered using the word popup to see those characters? It's an extra click / keyboard shortcut (D or K), but it should give you what you want.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

To be honest, I don't know the first thing about programming. I just really liked that there was some other way to make a connection in your head with the writing prompts when you got them wrong. I've been practicing definitions more lately and missed having that extra information. I'll try the shortcut. Didn't know it existed.

Thanks again for the attention you give every post. Look forward to seeing the iOS app.
