Can I add words wothout adding it to the dictionary?

I have a few lists I'd like to make with words that don't exist, but also don't want to add public definitions for them, is this possible? One example is names, I'd like to enter the names of chinese friends and relatives in chinese, and have the english names as the definitions.

No, there needs to be a central reference for every word, otherwise it can't be studied (it's where things like the reading or traditional variant are stored). You can add the word with a general definition, then add a custom definition.

Thanks for the info!

(And adding some text to get rid of the potential duplicate post detection)
