computer voice

1) The new electronic voice reading a sentence works only sporadically or not at all when I'm using my Android phone to Skritter.

2) Is it possible to have electronic voices pronouncing words that have been added but which Nick didn't get a sound clip from ChinesePod for?

Specifically, I just created a list of words called "Articles of Incorporation" where I basically took the electronic copy of my company's articles of incorporation and broke it up into single words or items. A surprising number of these words were already in the Skritter dictionary but many of them (like: 中华共和国民国外资企业法 and 法定代表人) aren't and I'd like to be able to hear sound clips for them.

3) Are we ever going to be able to skritter complete sentences?

You already can Skritter complete sentences

I'll put a bug on the list for the example sentence text-to-speech; thanks for the heads up.

I can hook up the text-to-speech on words for which we don't have audio, but first we have to decide whether we're keeping the text-to-speech. We're still trialling it and aren't sure how much it is worth to Skritter.

Yes, just add a long "word" which is actually a short sentence and you can study it in Skritter. A few things are a little stretched, but it can work pretty well. Another approach that works well is to put the longer sentences in Anki and use Skritter just for words.
