Traditional/ Simplified mix-up

jmatek   September 14th, 2014 9:11a.m.

I've noticed that some of the characters added from one of the lists I am studying(台灣通用字彙(第七級)) are traditional characters instead of the simplified variants that should be added according to my settings. I'm aware that this list is composed of traditional characters, but most of the time, the simplified variant is added without any hitches. Any ideas about how to resolve this issue?

Most recent example: 槓 was added instead of 杠

Something with how the vocab list was constructed made it miss the 杠/槓 simp/trad connection. I edited that section and re-added the word, which fixed it up. It's possible that there are a bunch of characters in there that had this problem, and re-adding those in this list would fix it. Did you see a bunch more of them?

There were several others, I will make a note of them when they pop up again and let you know. Thanks for your help.

Actually, the only other one that I noticed was 羅 instead of 罗.

@jmatek, the mapping of this character looks correct and I can't trace back how you might have added the traditional version of the character to your account. It appears that you're already studying the simplified version as well so I would recommend just banning the traditional version from your studies. That will prevent you from seeing the word again in your queue.

Hope that helps.
