Terrifying new "delete all" button.

Hi, folks,

The new-look icons are good in the vocab section, but that large "delete all" button is a bit terrifying. I just wanted to check that you get a second chance to confirm whether you want to delete after pressing it.

After all, sometimes whilst Skrittering, the cat goes for a walk over my keyboard...

All the best,
Will

Oh that delete all icon? It actually takes you to a page where you can delete all your things. I suppose it isn't clear that everything on that page is a link. Hmm, going to have to think about that one... Maybe some underlines beneath the headers would make it more clear?

OK, that's not so bad if it takes you to another page. The cat would have to be pretty smart (and he isn't) to work that one out.

Making it clear that it is link might help. Or the text could simply read something like "Go to a page where you can..."

Incidentally, I also like the way that all the preferences/options - both for vocab and for general site preferences - have been now put together in a single place.

If you are studying both Chinese and Japanese, is it possible, for example to delete my Chinese items without deleting my Japanese?

nick   September 13th, 2009 5:45p.m.

It will only delete the items that correspond to the currently selected language. So to delete your Chinese items, switch your language to Chinese, double check to make sure it's in Chinese, and then go ahead and use the delete all page.

I've edited the text a bit and added underlines to the tool names. It'll go up with the next update. Hopefully that will make it clear the button link isn't the actual button!

I've also made it clearer on the Delete All page what language is being deleted.
