Does Skritter do testing?   June 13th, 2012 11:53p.m.

Hi there.

I currently use TrainChinese's iPad app for my studying. I like it because it actually gives me multiple-choice tests which test my understanding of what I've learned in multiple ways: reading, translation, audio comprehension, etc. Does Skritter have this kind of functionality? It's not clear from the description on your web site.

Thanks!

Skritter doesn't give multiple choice tests yet, but it is constantly testing you on writing, pinyin, tones and definitions.

I might add that I find Skritter's method of testing much more effective that multiple-choice questions, which are too easy because they give too much away.

Very fortunately Skritter does not rely on multiple choice.

Thanks for your help, everyone. I can certainly see the downside of MC questions, where one can often pick the right answer by process of elimination, especially from a list of randomly-chosen words. I will give Skritter a try.

I don't think skritter needs to add multiple choice tests.
