Time Zones

Hmm; might be something to do with the iOS app trying to figure your timezone out. Does it happen after you use the iOS app?

We don't have a good way of doing that. Why do you want the timezone to be somewhere other than you live?

I normally live in Japan, so I want my study data to be shown according to Japanese time, not the time of some place I visit temporarily.

I noticed this problem while visiting my family with the iOS app. It still did it even after I manually set my iPhones back to Japanese time. It worked properly when I connected through a VPN, making sure I was connected to the VPN before using Skritter at all. If I forgot, it would screw up the statistics shown in the iOS app.

Statistical problems included calculating a negative amount of time studied for the (then) current day and not resetting the time total for the day at 4am (so it would accumulate supposed study time across days.

The web version has continued to keep correct track of statistics, so at least I could look there.
