I found a problem in the newest version of Skritter for iOS (1.0.4). When I edit the definition of the current word and click the "Save (Personal)" button, sometimes the updated definition is not shown in the card. (I.e. the original definition is shown instead.) It doesn't happen every time I change a definition, but quite often. Going to the next item and then returning does not help, the definition field still shows the old one. However, the updated definition is nevertheless always written to the database correctly. I can see the updated one when I go to the "My Lists" tab and find it there. It is also displayed correctly when the word is shown to me the next time it is due.

Sometimes the definition is updated correctly in the card's view, but when I click the icon to edit the same definition again (e.g. if I realize that I forgot to add something), then I might see the old definition in the edit form again.

The problem is quite persistent, I'm editing my definitions pretty heavily at the moment and I encountered this problem, say, 30-40 times already. I even tried to reboot my iPhone, it didn't help either.

I have been having the same problem anterya. I change a lot of my personal definitions to reflect the ABC dictionary from Pleco.

Pretty much everything that you explained above I have experienced over the past 24 hours.

I'm having the same problem now on IOS. Furthermore, I see in this post 2 entries, however, I remember that Scott also had a question here and I gave a reply, so altogether should be at least 4 posts.

I had the same issue with version 1.0.2 and noticed the issue persists with version 1.0.4. Takes the fun out of the app, when you've done a lot of research for a certain definition only to see it lost the next day. Come November, I think I will buy a Windows 8 tablet with built-in Wacom digitizer for Skrittering. At least there was never any issue with definitions going missing or anything like that with the web version.

范博涵, it is strange, I was also changing a lot of definitions in 1.0.2 and never noticed this problem until I updated to 1.0.4. Besides, as I wrote in my original post, the changes that I do to the definitions in 1.0.4 are never really lost, they are always written to the database alright, the only problem being that the iOS App doesn't display the changes right after they are made. The next time I see this card, they are displayed correctly, i.e. with the changes I made last time. I have never experienced the situation when the changes that I make would be lost.

In fact, I kind of got used to this bug already. I continue making changes to my definitions and just ignore what Skritter displays immediately after that!

Found the bug and fixed it for the next version. It's purely aesthetic though, as you guys pointed out, the data does make it to the server. It just doesn't immediately update the definition front-side.

@范博涵: I don't remember this bug. Does it happen with all the definitions you edit, or just some of them, and how often? I checked your account and I'm not seeing much of any custom definitions, so I guess none of them are making it from app to server? One way to check if it works is to change a definition, then immediately go to the home screen and check the sync logs to see if the one item got saved, then check your custom definitions here on the site. At what point does it not work?
