I don´t agree with them

Some people say that this forum should not be used for tutorial services. I think that these pedagogic services are the most important function of the forum because they allow the students of chinese to solve many problems.

I'm not going to opine on the matter, because I don't really mind either way. But I think every 'tool' has its function. Skritter is a fantastic tool for learning and retaining vocab, but it's not designed for studying grammar etc.

If you look at a lot of posts on the forum, you'll notice that most posts tend to resolve around the use of Skritter's software.

This said, I think you'd probably find resources like italki useful for any grammar questions you might have. You're probably going to get a quicker response.

Agree with tainted.

I would recommend using lang8 to solve grammar issues, it has helped me a lot.
Try writing a little each day, and you'll notice a rapid improvement in your chinese.

The staff have to decide. There are no forum rules in place that I can see.

I think it's great if our community can welcome and help out fellow students of Chinese, whether they are current Skritter users or not. We've all needed help at some point or another ourselves.

It's a nice thing to do, helping others, and that's enough, by itself. But an added benefit is attracting more and more people interested in Chinese, who will think, wow! These Skrittering people really know their Chinese! Maybe I should give it a try!

More users can only be good for the whole community, as it means Skritter will keep growing and getting better!

Meanwhile, http://www.chinese-forums.com/ has a great group of helpful people who might be able to answer your grammar questions, Maggie.

Don't want to weigh to heavily into this debate, but I think that @本杰明 makes a good point. There are no forum rules, so as it stands Maggie's many posts as a "seeming" non-Skritter are okay. It is up to the Skritter team and the forum moderators to decide.

Maybe it would be better to organize the forum in sub forums to make it more user friendly, but I don't know, there doesn't seem to be a lot of forum activity.

tausha   June 28th, 2014 5:15a.m.

I've only recently joined lang-8 and I can really recommend it for grammar questions as well! You get a lot of feedback from different people and you usually don't have to wait very long before suggestions / corrections / answers come in.

Maggie Dawson   June 28th, 2014 7:29a.m.

I thank everybody for their opinions. They are very friendly. Greetings.

I'm with Nicki on this one. I hope Skritter doens't make a rule where we "can't help someone who has a 問題”
