Last few minutes of study not being added?

junglegirl   September 14th, 2011 3:17p.m.

I've noticed for awhile now that it seems the last few words of each skritter session don't get counted in my study history. The reason I think this is because the same words pop up again within the next 24 hours when the interval should be much longer, and it says that the word was last studied, for example, 2 months ago, when I know I just saw it the day before.

What's odd though is that if I starred the word during that unrecorded study the previous day, it shows up as starred, even though skritter doesn't remember the study session in which the starring took place.

I don't mind doing a few extra reviews, but my main concern is the following scenario: I get a word wrong, but the study doesn't get counted. It then shows up again the next day, and I get it right, because I just saw it a few hours ago. Only skritter thinks that I remembered it from two months ago, so I won't see it again for several more months, at which point I will definitely have forgotten it.

Is there some save button I don't know about that I should be clicking each time I finish studying?

Junglegirl, just look at the lower right, where you can see the small field for server latency (Mouse-over it turns green, yellow or red). Next to it you might see a number, these are the not yet saved items, you have to wait until the number disappears, then you can leave the site and everything is saved. My feeling is, that the very last item is only saved, when you move forward to the next. Therefore, I always leave only with an un-reviewed item. But this is a feeling, not knowledge.

Roland has it. Finish your last review, then move to the next word and wait for the numbers next to the latency indicator to disappear before leaving the study page. That'll be sure your reviews are saved.
