Sometimes you learn something and rarely have the chance to use the vocabulary, but when you do get the chance, since you haven't practiced you forget it all. Election words fall into this category.

With big elections only once every four years, you can forget everything in between. This year my vocabulary on elections has been excellent though. All thanks to Skritter I might add since it forces me to keep up to date with long lost rarely used vocabulary.

You know you are doing well in a language when you spit out long difficult words that are nearly jargon and people don't blink twice about how fluent you talk about the subject.

The worst part is I have to wait another 4 years to talk much about this here...

That's great! Spaced repetition keeps you fresh for when you need it. I have a number of SRS topics in Anki that I have never used yet, but might be really important one day, and it's cheap to keep them in memory.

Better make sure to get out a lot for the next couple days and show off your election vocabulary while it's still hot!
