Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Explanation for 婆家?

Hello all,
I ran into 婆家 today, defined as "husband's family", which I find strange since I think most people would logically guess that it's rather "wife's family", at least, I did.

Anyone here has an explanation for it?

The 婆 in 婆家 is the same as that in 婆婆 (husband's mother) or 婆媳 ( mother-in-law and daughter-in-law ). So 婆家 is literally the husband's mother's home.
