With Microsoft's 10.6", 1280x720 Surface tablet to be released on October 26 (at a reportedly very low $199 price point) and Flash being integrated into Internet Explorer 10, I am looking to move away from the iPhone (which will be a nice gift for the wife). However, did the Skritter team already perform the necessary steps to have themselves added to the CV list, as outlined a few months ago (see http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ie/jj193557(v=vs.85).aspx)?

It's still on my TODO list, but I haven't yet gotten access to a Windows box with the proper setup to do the testing to make sure it works.

You are using a Mac? Easy peasy:

1) Download Windows 8 Release Preview at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IE/windows-8/download
2) Download 30 day trial of VMware Fusion 4 at https://my.vmware.com/web/VMware/evalcenter?p=VMware-fusion4

Then install VMware Fusion 4 and use the downloaded Windows 8 ISO file to create a Windows 8 virtual machine. You could also use the free VirtualBox (http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.1.18/VirtualBox-4.1.18-78361-OSX.dmg) towards the same purpose, but VMware Fusion 4 is a little bit more user friendly.

I'm using a Windows RT tablet now and I can tell you that Skritter doesn't work, It's a shame, because this device is VERY nice.

Actually, a native Windows app would be the way to go, rather than the web version. Is one in the works?

@AP I asked about native app a long time ago and the answer is "too much work". I'd love to do a port! But i'm sure the Skritter guys have other priorities

And actually, with a bit of google and hackery, I have managed to get Skritter running on my Surface RT pretty well - the trick is to force it into Android mode (which allows the Flash object to get focus so that it can get input from the screen)

Just browse to http://www.skritter.com/study/all?android=true and it'll work
