What exactly does the Added bar mean?

Hey All,

Been using the site for awhile now and loving it, 1000+ characters and counting (can't wait for definition practice though!)

I realized recently though that I don't really have any idea just what the green added bar means. What does full mean and what does empty mean in terms of studying? In the help it says "the green [bar is] how many you have added today." But that didn't really help... It seems like it could be a couple of different things:

1. The number of new items added to the queue but I have yet to see?

2. The number of new items I have seen today?

3. The number of items in that space between seen and learned?

4. The number of new items I should be shooting for to keep at a steady pace?

Am I missing something obvious? As it is I just tend to ignore it, but I every once in awhile I see it do something funny and get curious...

The green bar is almost #2, the number of new items you have seen. Because items get added slightly before you see them, if my manipulations go awry, it might be off by a couple items.

The terminology is such because an item isn't really added until you're practicing and Skritter decides to add one. It then picks it an item from your queue or one of your vocab lists and adds it.

Does that make sense?
