Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Tone scorrect, but being marked incorrect?

I've learned some Chinese while I was in Taiwan and they don't use the neutral tone when speaking as much as other Chinese speakers do. For example, in 打扮 the fourth tone would be pronounced by a Taiwanese Chinese speaker. But when I identify this as a fourth tone on Skritter, it marks it wrong.

Could this be changed somehow?

I've got to do something about this; for many words it's not too standard whether a tone is neutral. I will improve the alternate tone handling according to my plan (where it marks the character right if it's a valid tone for that character) and see how that goes.

Might be a little while before I can complete that, though.
