Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Possible bug with character hint

On the practice page, if you hold the 'show character' button for a moment in order to get a hint, it then seems to allow you to make as many mistakes as you like and still insist your knowledge of the character is 'so-so' - or, if you have the eccentric mode turned on, 'transcendent'. I'm sure this didn't happen on the practice page when it was in beta.

Good catch; I see the problem. I have improved the situation such that transcendence will perish. Will upload that soon.
