Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

The title of this post shows two characters, but I've seen these a lot outside written on restaurant signs as one combined character. The pinyin for it is kao4, but you'll be unable to type or search for it directly.

I was told it signifies a special way of cooking, in all the places I've seen it was with chicken. The method differs slightly from the 火锅 hot pot style, because the water is boiled off and then the dish is served.

I'm always interested in finding things like this. Has anyone else encountered this character before? Perhaps someone can shed more light on it?
