Not testing kanji for certain words

Sorry I'm asking so many questions. I made a list (Guilty Crown Episode 1) from an anime I watched last weekend and really enjoyed. It's got some hard words (not a surprise) and I don't think I need to learn the kanji for some of these words.. ever. It seemed that when you go to edit the word list, on the right, there's a W with a box around it and if you click it then it shouldn't test you on the kanji for that word. Or so I thought. It is still testing me.

That's correct, deselecting the W should disable the writing prompt for the word. Which word(s) are you seeing writing prompts for that have had the writing disabled in the list? If you prefer, you could also email jeremy@skritter.com
