using skritter app with sweaty palms?

Bohan   April 22nd, 2012 2:30a.m.

Just a little thought I had a few days ago was if my sometimes sweaty palms are going to be a nuisance while using the ios app.

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions (besides using a napkin/towel, which will only work for about 10 seconds). I'm guessing there probably aren't many others who are sweating this (pun), but I thought I'd ask and see if there are any useful replies.

Are you referring to just holding the phone? I don't think you'll be writing with your palms.

haha, fingers too

I use a stylus, and prefer it much more to using my (dry) fingertips.

can a stylus be used with itouches ?

mcfarljw   April 22nd, 2012 7:10a.m.

They definitely have stylus pens for iDevices. Not sure which are the best for your money as I don't use one.

Absolutely styluses can be used with iPod Touch (which uses the same touch technology as nearly any touchscreen device). I use the Pogo Sketch and it works fine, although there are many other options to choose from. Maybe check some reviews on YouTube and decide what type of barrel would fit your hand best and be convenient to carry with you.

cool, thanks guys. I'll probably buy one of these stylus pens. Hopefully I can find one that has a rubber-type grip, so that I can wear a cotton glove and not have the pen slipping around.

I just got an iFaraday RX2 and it's pretty much perfect (my fourth stylus). Very light touch needed, no pull on screen, can write at a natural angle, good size, and is weighted so has substance to it. Only thing that could make it better is to add some kind of rubber grip.

I also just took a flight to Scotland, and mislaid it when passing things through the X-Ray machine. Must have rolled out of of sight. Have to buy another -_-.

The stylus idea is a good one! I'm going to get one.

IMHO a finger is the best stylus, and my shirt is the most convenient tool for drying my stylus.
