Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

China sites not working well today

The ios.skritter.com site and the skritter.cn site haven't been working well today. I've been getting this message a lot:

"We can't find that page!"

I got this when I tried to edit my study settings and when I tried to open up a link in the resources page

It was intermitten for me earlier this week (in Beijing). Tough part about living in China; if you're hear long term (a year or more) you might want to invest in a decent VPN - a year subscription is around $60 and solves most issues like this (and is even fast enough for YouTube etc).

Bohan, it probably has to do with the big site changes we pushed on Thursday, which included a lot of refactoring. We've got some errors in our logs and will fix those, but the 404s aren't as easy to spot. Can you let me know which URLs aren't found?

@nick maybe it's not actually the sites but rather because I haven't been able to download adobe flash on my new computer yet. Is there a particular version of adobe flash that you guys recommend?

oh, and while we're talking about VPNs, can anyone offer me a link that to downloading software that will let me get through the Great Firewall? I had one on my old computer but I forgot how I got it.

That url in particular is legacy; it is no longer available. It's been replaced with:

I see there are still a couple old links in the site though. I'll replace those momentarily. Are there any others you're finding, Bohan?
