I'm not sure if it is my imagination, or something in using flash 10.1, or related to the new 30-sec interval, or what else it could be, but I feel that I have been practicing my new characters over and over again, consistently getting them right, only to have them come up again some minutes later at 999% or after maybe 10-15 times right in a row an hour+ later at 500+%.

Definitely feels different (and repetitive), and my retention rate has jumped to close to 98%, which is one reason why I feel it's not all in my head.

This is on the old practice page btw.

Anyone else seeing this sort of thing on the old practice page? We're leaving almost all of the old code untouched, with very few changes that could affect this. Did this just start happening in the last few days, or could it have been earlier?

well i was away for 3-4 days, came back, spent a few days getting my reviews all the way back down, then turned my lists back on, and it has been the case since then. I thought that it might actually be reporting my answers as wrong, that's how quickly everything was coming back up and not going away. But like I said, the 98% rate seems to suggest otherwise, and it is always green, etc.

I'll try practicing mostly in firefox with regular flash 10 and see if that changes anything, but I"m not sure how it could affect this aspect.

I was having this issue, but I wasn't sure which practice page I was using. If I had to guess, it would have been the old page.

btw it is only happening on items which I got wrong at least once (i think even if it just a "blue" first time wrong), items I answered correctly the first time seem to act normally, increasing intervals regularly unless I get them wrong later.

da sao, hun li, pretty much everything i've added in the last 3 days.

at the moment i seem to have a lot more characters than usually. I am not adding news ones, but over the last 4-5 days when i come to practice its in the six hundreds,

I'm seeing no strange scheduling behaviour (apart from the time that an entire list section wasn't showing up/then came at once - but that's a different issue). Am using the new practice page.

i've only just started using skritter so wasn't sure if this was odd. all my characters come up as 999%. i'm not sure what this number means, but it seems odd that it's constantly 999%

Er...pardon my ignorance, but is there any major difference between the new and old practice pages beside the layout and visuals?

I'm also experiencing the same characters repetitively coming up on the old practice pages. this has been happening roughly about a week and a bit for me.

I switched the the new practice pages and the scheduler is fine. Also using Firefox and Flashplayer 10.

yeah even though the new page is a little too slow for prolonged use, I switched to it today so that I could mark all those repetitive ones with a '4' (for now) and add some new ones that, as you said, don't seem to have the same problem as on the old page.

I think there seems to be a bug with new words though (rather than new characters).

For example, 2 days ago I added 比较. Got the 较 part wrong, yet it only comes up for review today? I'm noticing this behavior for other words where just a part of it is wrong...

Okay, thanks for all the debugging info, y'all. We'll probably have to wait until getting back from Thanksgiving on Tuesday to figure out what's going wrong, unfortunately. Until then, try using the new practice page if you can, and keep reporting other funny scheduling--that'll help when we go to solve this.

The new practice page has a bunch of new features and bug fixes (and still some unresolved new bugs, but they should be minor by this point). It's still in testing, but if it runs fast enough, it's probably better to use if you don't mind some quirks.

Scott found and fixed this bug, so it should right as go for items practiced after this morning!
