Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

How to type Simplified Chinese with Cangjie IME?

Hello there,
I don't know if this question is appropriate on the Skritter forum. I started learning the Cangjie input method but quickly realized I couldn't get the simplified Chinese characters. Does anyone know how to get them, without using any third-party IME or an online tool? I am using Windows 7.

I had the same experience with Windows 8. I don't think Windows has a native IME for simplified Cangjie input, probably because pinyin input methods are overwhelmingly dominant in mainland China. I wasn't able to find a third-party Cangjie input either, but I didn't spend an inordinate amount of time looking. If you do end up finding a third-party Cangjie IME, I would be interested in hearing about it.

I realized you actually could get those simplified characters with the Changjie input of Taiwan Chinese. Just like for QuanPin/ShuangPin, after typing the combination one can choose in a list. At least it works for the emblematic simplified ones I know such as 国 or 么 (proudly typing them with Cangjie). It should contain all of them.
