Study page parameters

mcfarljw   November 4th, 2011 11:20a.m.

I'm not sure if there is a list somewhere with them or not, but I know there are several parameters the study page can be fed. For example, android, tablet and now I just saw resolution_width. I also thought there was one involving resizing as well, but I can't remember the parameter.

Mind pointing me to a list or posting them all somewhere?

I don't want to really make a permanent list, because they're really intended as temporary hacks--it's just that "temporary" is always longer than I'd like for some of these problems which aren't going away, as I'm trying to focus on the iOS app.

But I'll post them here for now. To anyone using these: this list is not intended to be current.

http://beta.skritter.com/study/all?android=true -- force Android layout
http://beta.skritter.com/study/all?android=true&tablet=true -- force Android small tablet layout
http://beta.skritter.com/study/all?android=true&resolution_width=800 -- force Android large tablet layout (the normal Skritter layout, basically)
http://beta.skritter.com/study/all?android=false -- force normal layout (writing won't work on Android)

There's also the dpi parameter, which you could play with, although at this point I'm not sure if it will do anything:

http://beta.skritter.com/study/all?android=true&dpi=240 -- try to change the initial scaling (240 is the default)

Thanks Nick! I know you're busy and this will help me hack mine to be a little more pleasant to look at. Not that it's so terrible now, but certainly could use some small adjustments.
