Skritter & Chinesepod users: adding vocab

Byzanti   November 18th, 2009 6:19p.m.

Are new words being added automatically to your Chinesepod lists?

I ask, as I've clicked the update button a few times, but my new vocab on Chinesepod isn't being added to my 'untagged' Skritter list.

Last time I created a new list (under a different name) on Chinesepod to get my new vocab to appear, and update found that fine. But that's a lot of hassle for each time I want a few words added!

Cheers

There are two update buttons (oh man another unintuitive system!). I think you're pushing the update button on the page showing all your lists? That one just refreshes the list of lists, but not the lists themselves.

If you go to the list you want to update, and click the advanced tab, there will be a link there you can click to make it get the latest version of that list from ChinesePod.

This should make the hassle less, but it's still not as hassle-free as being fully automated (downloading the lists when they change, making sure it stays activated and adds those new words). Unfortunately, doing that's kind of on the backburner because it's an involved problem and lower priority than a lot of other things. I hope you don't mind!

Ah! I bet that'll work. Cheers - didn't see it :o.
