Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

On the new practice page when I type in the correct tones for 北美洲 they are marked wrong and the neutral tone is shown as being the correct tone. This doesn't happen on the old page.

I've fixed it; the user who originally created that word left the tones off, and it looks like we missed it. Thanks for the heads up.

The reason for the difference between the old and new practice page behaviors is that the old practice page accepted any tones for the characters, whereas the new one only accepts the correct tone as in the given word. (I'll be making it so that tones that are correct for the character but not the word mark the character right but the word wrong.)
