Studying different parts on phone and computer

GrandPoohBlah   June 12th, 2012 3:59p.m.

I'm super glad you guys released the iOS app, since I was considering canceling my subscription just before it came out. The app is absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, I was just wondering if there is an easy way to practice different parts on my computer and my phone. Specifically, I think it would be best if I could practice writing and definitions on my phone and pinyin and definitions on my computer. Of course, I can change my settings when switching from one device to the other, but that's a little bit of a pain. I've only spent 10 minutes with the new app so I'm not sure if there's a workaround or if I should just take the 30 seconds to switch every time I start studying on a different device.

One other thing - a small suggestion - I have the most common form of color blindness, a slight degree of red-green. To me, the green of "correct" and the yellow of "so-so" are very, very similar on the iOS app; is it possible to darken the green a little more to differentiate it better from the yellow?

Thanks for the app, skritter team, you guys are fantastic!! :D

There's no easy way to do that right now, no. I think changing the settings will be the way to go. We might have something better when the single list study drops.

Is it the light theme, dark theme, or both where the green and yellow are too similar? (I have the same type of yellow-green problem in other contexts, but not enough to run into issues here.)

Both have the yellow-green color issue for me. It's not all that problematic, but I thought it would be worth at least mentioning :)

And thanks! I cant believe The effort you guys are putting into listening to customer feedback. I'll just take the extra bit of time to switch when I change devices. Im really happy just to be able to skritter with my phone, so it's not a big bother.
