HSK6 300?

Anon   August 22nd, 2014 2:16a.m.

I'm looking at the HSK6, but if you note, the test only requires that you score 60% on the test in order to pass. Some of the score equivalencies suggest that HSK6 with 210 is equivalent to old HSK11, but what is HSK6 with 300 equivalent to?

Same question applies to JLPT N1; the N1 only requires a 100 out of 180 to pass.

I'm not really sure, but I think they should make an HSK 7, there's a considerable lack of vocabulary and grammar complexity in HSK 6. I never took the old tests, but it is said the more advanced levels were much more complex.

What exactly is the difference between acing the HSK6 and just passing it? How much difficulty does an HSK6 @ 270 or 285 represent compared to a HSK6 @ 210 or 180?
