Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

What does "Remix" actually do?

I have clicked on remix in the hsk 4 list I'm learning. I'm not complelety sure of what this actually does to the list and why we are granted this option...

It turns that list to "your" list showing in the "made by me" section. This allows you to edit the list to add or delete items.
