Mobile flashcards/ Pleco?

Does anyone have experience with Pleco? I spend a lot of time in trains and so on, so a mobile solution would be very suitable for me.
In the faqs it seems that skritter won't be available for win mobile or so anytime soon? I wonder if the SRS system of Pleco would be as efficient, though.

I haven't used Pleco more than cursorily, but reports say it's awesome as a dictionary. I, too, am curious how its flashcard system performs. Its SRS scheduling should be decent, and I think it sort-of has writing practice combined with the flashcards (in that you input a character via handwriting, with the usual list of choices for what you meant, and it tells you whether it's the right one).

So, yeah: anyone know how it stacks up?

I've been using it for more than 2 years now and I would say it works, at least for me. It really is awesome as a dictionary - the only paper dictionaries I use now are highly specialized ones, e.g. E-C Dictionary of Industrial Technology and the like, as this kind vocabulary is not fully covered by the range of dictionaries Pleco offers (though I haven't tested the 21st century E-C dictionary yet, should be pretty comprehensive with those nearly 280000 entries). And the flashcards function does not fall short and got really polished in the recent 2.0 version (and there will be more improvements in the upcoming 2.0.1 version). It has got a real SRS algorythm now - in 1.0 you had to set those intervals yourself for different levels (or "ranks" as they were called back then), which was also working, but you had to play with it a little bit until you discovered which intervals suit you best. I particularly like the new "Category system" which allows you to keep your cards in order (like preventing duplicates, sorting them in various ways and also searching the flashcards database). Also the process of creating the cards is quick and simple - you search the dictionary for a word, and if you decide it is worth remembering, you can add it to your flashcard pool with a single stylus tap (and if you don't like the dictionary definition from ABC or any other dictionary or feel that it is somewhat insufficient and could use an example sentence or two, you can edit it afterwards and add whatever you like... which takes more time and stylus taps of course). Add many different testing methods (classic "back to front" cards and vice versa, multiple choice, listening practice...) and a bunch of other features (the document reader comes to mind...) and you've got a solid piece of software for its price...
