Hi Skritters!

So I have been practicing with Skritter, and I am so impressed with my progress. But, one thing I really want is for reverse questions - that is, Skritter gives me the English and asks me to translate it to Chinese (just like the opposite of the current method).

Because I often forget words when asked to translate :(

Is there a feature that would allow me to do that on Skritter, or is that not a feature?

How about using the the writing tests with "hide reading" option turned on? I use this as a dual-purpose test to recall what the word is in Chinese, and to know how to write it.

You may be better off trying another flashcard system alongside Skritter, as Skritter is quite rigid, and not very configurable if you don't like the way it works. This might improve with the new HTML5 app.

I am beta testing a free flashcard web app at the moment (links in another thread, not trying to spam) that allows the questions to be completely configurable. You can specify one or more parts that make up the stem, the answer, and the displayed information. I think this sort of configurability is important, as we all have different abilities and goals.

E.g. you can set up a question that shows you the English, and asks you to remember and rate yourself on the Hanzi and pinyin, or shows a tradtional character, and asks you to provide they simplified.
