Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Why are we not allowed to add example sentences ourselvea

I know that we are not allowed to add our own example sentences. But I would like to know why, since I would be able to clarify the use of many words and chengyu which I have added to my vocab list.

It's on the to-do list. In the meantime you can add example sentences in custom definitions.

As James said. Just click the definition and you can change it as you wish!
