Practice page vs. Home page

Why is it that on the home page the number of items due for review is often different from that of my practice page? For example right now the home page says I have 9 due, while the practice page says 1 due, with 6 added. What's the with the discrepancy?

Little bugs creeping in here and there. The Flash app downloads all the items you have to review in order to keep track of them, and tries to keep the number it thinks due synchronized by noting when you practice things that were due, when things become due, when you add things that then become due, etc. The home page, on the other hand, just directly asks the server for a snapshot each time. The practice page does this too, to keep in sync, but not as often (because it's relatively expensive).

I fixed most of the bugs with this several weeks ago, but I didn't get them all, it seems. They are cosmetic bugs (imagine a beetle with eyeliner) and shouldn't affect your studies very much.

Haha alright, like the metaphor. Thanks, just wanted to make sure that I wasn't reviewing items that weren't due before the items that actually were due.

So if I'm not mistaken the home page will be the most accurate measure of what is due? I did notice that the home page's count matched up with the vocab that was due when I checked the "Viewer"..

If you reload the practice page, it will properly count the due items as well. It's only every so often (before it refreshes itself) that the practice page will get off.
