Skritter with Photon Flash browser on iPad actually semi-OK

The iPhone version does not work well with Skritter, but the iPad version is actually usable, once you get used to having a bit of a lag. First you have to turn on the Flash session, then make sure you turn on "drag mode" (the little clenched hand icon). In a pinch, I find it's OK for on-the-go Skrittering, at least until the iOS app is available.

I've been alpha testing for a while, and I have to say that the app is so awesome. Ever since Scott has started working on it, updates have come a lot faster, with lots of improvements.

I'm using an iPod touch and it's great. I imagine with the iPad version, it will be even better, with so much more real estate to put info.

Just a heads up its so slow in China, at least on my internet it is. I mean way way way too slow to even work right. i hate that i spent 5 bucks on this.

Yes, I would think that it might be slower from China, because the traffic has to go to their server, which is probably in the US, and then back to China.

However, I've noticed that sometimes even in the US the Flash session sometimes is way too slow. When that happens, generally I've been able to get a faster session going by force-quitting Photon (and maybe some other apps still running in the background to free up memory) and then restarting Photon.

Maybe you could try that before giving up on Photon entirely. But I'm not sure this trick will help for people outside the US. In any case, it will be much better when the iOS app becomes available.
