I just came across a some interesting stuff at the University of Texas site. It's called "Cultural Interviews with Chinese-Speaking Professionals". The URL is:

There are dozens of interviews with Chinese speakers who discuss a variety of aspects of Chinese culture and society. The interviews have transcripts in Traditional and Simplified HanZi. Google Translate is also connected directly to the site and the interviews may be downloaded.

This looks like a good resource--matched text in Chinese, English, and pinyin with the audio and video, all about topics of interest. Good find!
