First, sorry for creating so many threads on this forum.

I've been having problems with the sample sentences and have found out why. If a word is written with Kana in Tatoeba, it does not appear as an example sentence or as a sentence you can choose.

However, if you try to add it as a sentence, it won't let you do that either because it complains that you are adding a duplicate sentence.

For example, the word ふさわしい is rarely written as 相応しい, but Skritter's sentence parser will always use the form with Kanji, even if you have Rare Kanji disabled. This can get pretty humorous as it tries to write ただ as 只 always for example.

So now the solution. As I wrote above, Skritter refuses to allow you to input duplicate sentences (it seems to have the entire Tatoeba corpus uploaded already).

However, I have found three ways to bypass it.

First way: Add the sentence from Tatoeba anyway, but replace the kana in Tatoeba with the rare Kanji.

Second way (first way I discovered, not as good): If you add the junk text うぃ to the end of both the Writing and the Reading it doesn't detect it as a duplicate.

Third way (worst way IMO): You can just put the sentence after the definition and not click "share with everyone". If you do this you lose all the word splitting and also you don't have the sentence definition to go by. It also shows up when you're writing, defeating the purpose.

Where does this idea come from? 相応しい is not uncommon at all.

I agree that 只 is rare for ただ although 只今 is quite commonly seen.

I meant in the Tatoeba sentences, it ism't rare outside of them though I agree.

The reason it doesn't let you add them is because it already exists in the database, but is linked to another word which is why it wasn't showing in the possible selections. I'll see if it would be possible to fix this!
