My strokes have recently started appearing with unbearable slowness on www.skritter.com. The cursor tracks my wacom pen's movements immediately, but the strokes appear only after significant delay. I've deduced (details below) it's probably some combination of my web browser and adobe flash version. Is there a particular combination that works best? (i.e. google chrome and adobe flash 10.0, or firefox and adobe 11.something?) OR is there anything else I can try??

I've used Firefox and an older version of adobe flash with a wacom bamboo pen tablet and its worked great... until 2 days ago.

I downloaded several windows, firefox, and adobe updates and now it's all an epic fail. (Tried system restore, but due to my own error, I can't restore to before I did the updates.)

I tried it in google chrome with the latest adobe flash, and with this combo, the strokes show up quickly, but now the cursor (pen) tracking in the window is delayed. (Cursor tracking outside the stroke writing box is not delayed at all.)

P.S. I've also ruled out my internet connection or www.skritter.com server slowness.

I had the same problem. I solved it with simply updating the adobe flash player. I am using Opera web browser, and it is working perfectly. I still have a little delay when I'm using Google Chrome.

Some things you can try:

- Start Msconfig. Go to the Startup tab and disable all startup items. Go to the Services tab, click on Hide all Microsoft Services and Disable All. Re-enable all essential services. Click on Apply and restart Windows.
- Temporarily remove anti-virus and backup software (both make use of filter drivers that may be causing your issue and merely disabling these products would not deactivate them). You can reinstall the software if the issue should still occur.
- Make sure that all of your workstation's firmware, BIOS and drivers (network drivers in particular) are up to date. You may ascertain the current version of your network drivers by opening Msinfo32 and going to Hardware > Network > Adapters. The date should be shown on the last line of the network adapter entry. You may have to widen the Value column for it to show.
- After updating the network drivers execute the command “netsh int tcp set global chimney=disabled rss=disabled autotuning=disabled ecncapability=disabled congestionprovider=none” to disable TCP Chimney offload functionality, Receive Side Scaling, etc. Additionally execute the command “netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled” to disable task offloading.

I noticed a delay in Chrome a few days ago as well.
