Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

App sync problems?

For the past two hours, the iOS app installed on my iPad 2 fails to sync. The reported state is "Paused - had error". I tried several times to "Force sync" but to no avail.

The "Sync Status" reads as follows:
23/09/12 20:35 Response code 500
23/09/12 20:35 Failed - server error
23/09/12 20:35 Connect error, ignoring data

Do other users experience the same problem?

How big is the sync you're trying to do? It looks like our server is running out of memory when trying to sync the file to you. Hmm. You have learned the most words of any Skritter user, so it makes sense that you would be among the first to hit these kind of limits.

I'll confer with Scott on what we can do about this.

I don't think it is a particularly large sync. The "Sync Status" on the app says that there are 420 Items to Sync.
