Keyboard shortcut for Skritter's bookmarklet?

swimming   October 9th, 2013 3:19a.m.

I just recently discovered the bookmarklet that allows the easy insertion of selected characters or words to vocabulary lists. (See under "tools" on the right side of Skritter's home page.)

Is there a way of invoking the bookmarklet using a keyboard shortcut? That would save a few more seconds...

I am currently using firefox but will switch to a different browser if necessary.

ExAequali: Thank you for your quick reply.

The mozilla link describes a way of assigning a _keyword_ to a search box. That's good to know, but not exactly what I am after. I am looking for a way to assign a _keyboard shortcut_ to a bookmark(let).

The Chrome link looks much more promising. I will install Chrome and experiment.

To everyone out there, any ideas on how it could be done using firefox?

It works nicely both in Firefox and Chrome!
Thanks a lot ExAequali!

In both browsers, set a keyword, e.g., "a" to the bookmarklet.
An item can then be added by selecting it and then pressing Ctrl+L a Enter.
