Chinese Definitions

Hi guys,

I would be interested to know who uses Chinese definitions exclusively? How have you found the experience? Do you find that your comprehension of Chinese words has improved?

I am thinking of doing it slowly at one stage. Using probably the GuiFan dictionary on Pleco for definitions.

Cheers,
Joe

It is my aim to get to the point where I can cope with having Chinese definitions only.

Also curious to know at which point people find they're able to do this - how many words/characters into your studies?

(Yes, I realise word/character count isn't all it takes)

How do you switch to Chinese definitions? I didn't know that was an option, but I'd like to give it a try.

RuanNing: if you're on the web, hit the language selector in the upper right.

If you're on iOS, set your source language in the app settings to Chinese.

We don't have a complete set of Chinese-Chinese definitions by any means, but if you'd like to add some as you study, we'll get there.
