Off-topic: Japanese/Chinese learning "games"

Lawnmower16   May 1st, 2011 6:46p.m.

I love Skritter. I do it for fun. It's like an addicting flash game to me. I wouldn't pay for it if it wasn't. Today I found a little "Brain Age" type of flash game in Japanese, where you match colors based on the colors of the letters, not what the letters say, to one of the choices at the bottom, which are in the opposite format. Here's the link:

I was wondering if any of my fellow Japanese learners could share with me any fun/"fun" flash games, like this one, that are also helpful to learning the language.

Feel free to share Chinese ones too, I'm sure some of you Chinese-learning folks are interested in the same thing.

Kana invaders (with sort of the old space invaders feel) is good for people just learning katakana/hiragana recognition.

iPod and iPad app versions of "Chinese 4Beginners." I don't have an iPad and the iPhone / iPod version has images that are too small to be useful to me. A review also points out that the app is misnamed because it is not really for beginners. Still, looks like a good start on a matching game concept. Not as good as Rosetta Stone, but hey, its only 99 cents.
