easier way to remove words? (also: "d" and "k" shortcuts)

during Skritter sessions I often need to access the word lookup menu to remove a word from study.

the "d" and "k" keyboard shortcuts works only erratically for me. It works consistently for _closing_ a word lookup window once opened, but only works maybe about 20% of the time when I try to use it to _open_ that window.

I have a bunch of much-too-simple words that were automatically added from HSK lists, so any easier way to remove them from study as they come up would be much appreciated. (I know I can delete them by scrolling through the hundreds of pages of "My Words" in list view)

But otherwise, I was wondering if the "d" and "k" keyboard shortcuts worked for everyone, for opening the word lookup menu. Is there something I'm not doing right?

by the way, I'm using Safari 5.0.4

yeah me too, i learned quite a lot characters before i started using skritter, and it would be great if i could just save them as memorized, i dont want to delete them from my words.

If you mark those words as "too easy" they will get pushed out further so that the next time you'll get them for review will be days, then weeks, then months away. The characters won't be deleted but you will see them at longer and longer intervals; it sounds like that's your intention and it matches the way the SRS system is designed.

Press '4' to mark them as too easy, or else just do them. This way the words you know won't be added from other lists either. I think it's a good idea to review words from basic lists anyway; sometimes it's surprising how much you think you know but actually don't.

The "ban" feature should do the trick, and when it is released soon, we're also planning on putting a button right next to the magnifying glass in the prompt. That'll make it faster to get rid of these easy words permanently.

I'll try to debug the "d" / "k" shortcut.
