Hi, I'm creating a new vocabulary based on Chineasy book I've bought recently. I can't find a character for "women" - "nu3". It offer four variants, but non of them looks like a woman ;) ideas? Thanks.

Woman 女 is written as nǚ in pinyin (note the ü instead of u, which can be input as "v" using a computer, e.g., nv3).

女 does look like a pregnant woman! ;)

well, at least it resembles a woman. so let her be pregnant this time, i don't mind ;) some characters, on the other hand, are not connected with reality at all. at least to my logic.
