reliance on stroke order

shinyspoons   November 7th, 2009 11:19a.m.

On the old interface if you set the reliance on stroke order setting to full, skritter would only allow you to write the character in order, but on the new interface, even if the stroke order reliance is set to full, sometimes you can enter a stroke that is out of order.

Can you change/add something so that when you write a it will on accept the strokes in the correct order.

Sure, I'll tweak this. One question: how easy is it to get a stroke that's one place out of order accepted?

shinyspoons   November 7th, 2009 10:06p.m.

I just did a bit of experimenting and there only seems to be a problem with certain strokes, normally quite close to each other in the stroke order, and certain characters. The only one I can find at the mo is ่—. You can write the first stroke of ๆˆ before the last stroke of ่‰นใ€‚

I also still get issues with the system misidentifying strokes and failing to recognize correct strokes.

Okay, thanks for the experimentation. It sounds like I only need to nudge it a little bit, which is good.

gacorley: that's a more general problem. I've got some recognition tweaks that I need to do after the new practice page is ready. If you see strokes that are a problem, use the feedback tab on the practice page to note them and I'll make sure to give them some attention next time I do tuning. Thanks!
