new list of phonetic characters (announcement)

russell359   December 11th, 2012 11:23a.m.

Here's a new list I created with Wieger's 858 phonetic components (well it's 817 right now as some of them only displayed as upside down ?).

The list was inspired by the latest blog post

This is great! I've started studying it now. Nice list.

Can't wait to take a look!

Oh well, the list could do with re-ordering perhaps, to push the less frequent characters to the end etc, bringing up the characters entries finds when they appear in other characters (which is the whole point really), so maybe another list could be created with those characters in it to reinforce acquisition. Wish there were a way to re-order characters in lists according to the 'difficulty' data in the character info popup.

I've update the list, reordered the characters by their frequency. Though doesn't reflect the frequency of the characters the phonetic component characters appear in, which would be much more work.
