This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

It's extremely useful, studies have shown that when you have eccentric flavor turned on 60% of the time you learn more 汉字 every time.

Once upon a time, a college student used Skritter without Eccentric Flavor turned on. Poor guy... He forgot all his 汉字 overnight.
