Study subset of words for test

thatsnice   June 12th, 2013 4:08a.m.

Sorry if this was already addressed, I couldn't find it. I'm using Skritter regularly but sometimes I just need to focus on a smaller set of words for an exam. I can't figure out how to isolate that subset of words and temporarily stop reviewing anything else. I tried adding the words to a list and doing Advanced Study on them but that didnt seem to work. Is there a way?
FYI I'm using the iPhone app only, not the website.
Thanks!

go to > advancned study
then > lists and there you just pick the list you created and study the words in the list.

I just checked it myself in the Iphone app.

Good luck!

In Skritter, I usually just delete all lists other than the ones that I want to study. Can add them again later without losing my progress.

To get around the problem of wanting to review words that Skritter thinks I know, I export the words and import them into another system such as StickyStudy (Pleco would work too). As a first pass I don't use SRS, just step through all words one at a time, covering the English with my finger, and rating each word. I can then see my progress at a glance. I then use the other app's SRS in parallel with Skritter for a bit.

Skritter is a great tool for daily SRS but I find that at times it needs to be complemented by other systems.
