Type the pinyin in iOS app

Hello,

rather than the sentence feature, i would prefer to have the ability to type the pinyin of a character or word in the iOS app.
This feature is available on the web app and i really enjoy it.
A 5th option in the Advanced study panel should allow to deselect this learning feature.

I don't think an option with a full-fledged keyboard would be that great, but maybe do it like Memrise does it in their app, don't show a full keyboard but only like ten letters or so. For Chinese that should be more than enough, considering that most syllables are only 3-4 letters long.

IF there needs to be a keyboard at all, I don't think the app completely replaces the web experience and only use it when I want to do revisions on the couch.

I totally agree with lc3t35! I actually started out using skritter on the iPad, later on when I tried the web version I really performed badly reproducing pinyin. I guess one sneaks himself into grading to good, without realizing that the pinyin is just partly correct. Therefore I really would appreciate a feature which would enable me to type the answer, instead of grading myself...

I would love to have a keyboard input, since it sticks in my memory much better..
The standard keyboard would be nice, but they'd have to put in extra buttons for tone marks, because continuously switching to the # keyboard would drive me nuts.

You can use the international keyboard feature available on the iPhone : settings -> General -> Keyboards, you can add Chinese simplified, handwriting too.
When the keyboard is displayed, click on "Earth button" to change the keyboard layout to other languages.
The keyboard handle the tune with 1,2,3,4 after the letters :)
No need for specific dev -> everything we need is available ! Skritter, please add the feature !
