What's up with all the spam lately? How have these spam bots/spammers infiltrated Skritter? Will we be victorious over the spam, or will it slowly consume Skritter like a growing disease!?!?

We should feed Bohan to them. It's the only way.

Usually whenever we get a new type of spam, I make a new rule on my filter, which prevents almost everything. Not many bots can get through the captcha of adding two numbers together, which we require for non-logged-in users.

Some of these recent ones have been a little unique, not trying to post a lot of links or any duplicate content, so my simple rules aren't as effective. if it keeps going, I'll make them add two-digits instead of one-digit numbers together and see what that does.

You're also seeing more spam because I'm trying to check the forum less, as otherwise I spend too much time on here! So it takes me longer to moderate the spam.
