Pulling the mouse out of the box while writing

百发没中   July 22nd, 2009 2:29p.m.

When I write characters I tend to not write it all out in careful detail but rather just pull the mouse in the general direction so that skritter can recognise it.
Because I mainly want to just be able to recognize characters while reading and perhaps be able to write them on the computer, I don't overly worry that my handwriting is ...ehm..难看。
However, because of that I often tend to pull the mouse out of that box especially when there are some strokes which are close to the frame. As a result I often get characters marked as incorrect because I used to many "wrong" strokes to get it right especially if there still was a hook at the end of the line.
Would it be easy to let skritter just ignore attempts which start inside the box but get pulled out of it?

And now having written this I was wondering how many other people have that same problem. Could one add the option of a post specific survey where I could now write the question "How much would you like such a feature" and then people could just one of the options.
That survey would just be shown underneath, next to or above this thread.

I used to have that problem when I used a touchpad, with a tablet I don't.

I have that problem sometimes.

I've changed it so that a stroke that ends outside the box doesn't count as a wrong stroke. This part might not be uploaded for a while, though; it's mixed in with some new recognizers I'm working on.

I don't think we'll try to add too much fancy stuff to this forum; keep it simple and work on other stuff. If a question is really good, make some noise and maybe we'll make a poll out of it.

I also have that problem occasionally, but more often than not it actually gives me credit for the right stroke and just says "should hook" or whatever. So for me it is another opportunity to be (dis)honest about whether or not I was going to hook or not. :)

Hasn't been a big deal for me, though, either way.
